Ferrous Park

Wasteland transformed to vibrant park.

Ferrous Foundry Park, a 4.5-acre site in Lawrence, was transformed from an industrial brownfield into an "urban wild." Once home to the pioneering Lawrence Experiment Station and later a dumping ground, the design preserves unique ecologies and spontaneous plant growth, creating a dynamic public space.
